CA, ECB officially confirm players’ availability for IPL 2021

After days of speculation and anticipation, two key boards have cleared participation of their players in the second and unfinished leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Cricket Australia (CA) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have formally informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that they have no objection to their players taking part in the IPL, to be held in UAE from September 19 to October 15.
The development was confirmed after the BCCI informed the franchises about the two boards’ go-ahead. IPL COO Hemang Amin called each franchise on Friday (August 13) to inform them about the decision of the two boards and it is now up to the individual players’ discretion whether to take part or not.
