News of one positive coronavirus test to a non-playing West Indies member ahead of the second ODI against Australia has thrown into doubt a bevy of international cricket fixtures involving four teams.
No fixtures have yet been cancelled as officials await the results from a new round of testing, but both Australia and the West Indies have tight schedules with little room for flexibility.
The second ODI between Australia and the West Indies has only been postponed, but with the third ODI less than 48 hours away (4.30am Sunday AEST), the series’ remainder is under serious threat.
And that’s not the only set of fixtures that could be feeling the effects of Friday’s news.
