Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson has become the latest big-name player to join the controversial LIV Golf series.
As reported on Friday, the former World No. 2 was expected to sign on for the Saudi-backed rebel series on a deal worth more than $71 million.
Other major winners Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia and Bryson DeChambeau have also signed on for the series.

Watson released a statement on social media this morning (AEST), where he described how thrilled he is to be joining the breakaway series.
“I’m excited to announce that I have joined LIV Golf,” Watson wrote.
“Starting at the next even in Boston I’ll be a non-playing team captain supporting and rooting on my team until I can get back competing.
