The Tigers have produced a big upset over the Broncos, escaping with a 32-18 victory at Suncorp Stadium to snap a seven-game losing streak and deliver interim coach Brett Kimmorley his first win at the helm.
They struck first in the clash but it was neck-and-neck until the Tigers scored on either side of half time to turn the momentum around.
Fox League expert Michael Ennis highlighted that the Tigers were “winning the physical battle” and could sense that they could “smell that the Broncos are off.”
New-look halves duo Adam Doueihi and Jock Madden both contributed to the victory with Doueihi setting up a try and nailing six from six goals, while Madden scored a try and set up two.
