Blues great pays tribute to Magpies champion Billy Picken

Carlton great Mark Maclure has paid tribute to Collingwood champion Billy Picken, who passed away aged 66.

Picken played 212 games for the Magpies between 1974 and 1983, winning two Copeland Trophy awards, before adding another 28 games with Sydney.

The one-time All-Australian defender played in five Grand Finals without achieving the ultimate success.

Maclure had some great on-field battles with Picken during the 1970s and 1980s.
