Ranking NBA Arenas from Best to Worst

The top NBA arenas to attend games across the league were determined by a poll of 35 media members who have traveled to arenas across the country. The criteria for ranking included the crowd’s atmosphere and energy, the quality of the arena, culinary offerings, and lighting. The results of the poll showed a fierce competition for the top spot between New York, Los Angeles, and Boston.

One of the top arenas is TD Garden, which received 74.86 percent of the maximum vote possible. It opened in 1995 with a capacity of 19,156 and is the home to the Boston Celtics and Bruins. The arena underwent a $70 million renovation in 2014 and was narrowly voted the NBA’s top arena in the poll. It received six first-place votes among media members.
