The Celtics have defeated the 76ers in an impressive showing from Boston in Wednesday’s NBA season opener (all times AEDT) behind a combined 70 points from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
The Celtics kicked off their season on a perfect note as they look to go one better from their finals appearance last year, with Tatum and Brown both scoring 35 points each, while Marcus Smart added 14 points and seven assists.
For Philadelphia, James Harden was firing on all cylinders with 35 points, eight rebounds, five triples and going 12-of-12from the free throw line in shades of his Houston Rockets days.
