The Boomers ended Argentina’s men’s Olympic basketball campaign on Tuesday night at the quarterfinal stage, blowing out the world No. 4 team in a stunning 97-59 quarter-final win.
And the result also signalled the end of the road for Albiceleste legend Luis Scola.
The 41-year-old bowed out with seven points in his 25 minutes, earning a standing ovation when he checked out of the game with under a minute remaining.

Scola was in tears as the game was paused for an extended period as the Boomers, Argentines and the few hundred fans in attendance cheered one of the icons of international basketball.
