Back when Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels were drafted into the NBA, a keen group of aspiring basketball players watched as the two Australians had their names called out by commissioner Adam Silver.
They were watching from the other side of the world, back in Canberra at the NBA’s Global Academy, which Giddey and Daniels both attended in their journey to the draft.
For the Academy’s technical director Marty Clarke, as important as it is to get the work in on the basketball court, that day is just as central to what the Academy is trying to achieve.
