Australia has continued its hot start to the Tokyo Paralympics, with the medals continuing to pile up on Day Three.

After success on the velodrome and the running track, all eyes turn to the pool tonight when EIGHT medal hopes chase gold.

26-year-old Jesse Aungles claimed fourth in the men’s 100m backstroke S8. The race was won by USA’s Robert Griswold in a world record 1:02.55s. Aungles equalled his personal best with a 1:07.94s.

The Aussie star made four finals in his four events at the Paralympics in Rio, but failed to grab a medal – a streak which continued again today.

Aungels told Channel 7 he was: “A bit shattered. Always the bridesmaid never the bride unfortunately at the Paralympics……
