Bangladesh has set an unusual record in the second Test against Sri Lanka in Mirpur, scoring 365 in the first innings on Tuesday — with six ducks.
After Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first at Shere Bangla National Stadium, openers Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Tamim Iqbal were both dismissed for zero before an early collapse left the hosts reeling at 5/24.
But veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim and wicketkeeper Litton Das combined for a marathon 272-run partnership to revive the innings.

Rahim and Das both finished centuries, scoring with 157 not out and 141 respectively — only one other Bangladesh player reached double figures, with six teammates scoring ducks.
